We the Curious – Festival of What If

Capturing the imagination and curiosity of visitors

We The Curious is a science and arts centre and educational charity here in Bristol. It features over 250 interactive exhibits over two floors, and members of the public and school groups can also engage with the Live Science Team over programming in the kitchen, studio and on live lab.

Photography for We The Curious

We The Curious held an event for six days during the first week of the summer holidays called ‘Festival of What If’. The festival was aimed at capturing the imagination and curiosity of the visitors, enabling them to ask questions and explore.

The brief was to capture people’s reactions and emotions as they engage in the activities around the venue in specific spaces where they lack photos due to the dark environment.

‘Festival of What If’ photos

By capturing the genuine reactions and emotions of visitors as they engaged in various activities, the photos have provided invaluable documentation of the festival’s impact on its participants. Moreover, the focus on specific spaces where photography was challenging due to low light has filled a visual gap in the charity’s archives. These images now serve as powerful promotional and educational tools for We The Curious, allowing them to showcase the immersive and captivating experiences offered at the festival.
